Job Description: Procurement Specialist (Permanent Position)

Location: Zurich

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all operational procurement matters as well as assigned strategic tasks

  • Obtaining and comparing offers

  • Conducting price and contract negotiations

  • Advising and supporting internal stakeholders (project management, system management, etc.)

  • Creating and maintaining purchasing master data in SAP

  • Processing and triggering orders while considering specialist and commercial objectives

  • Identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities

  • Completing and monitoring all administrative and follow-up tasks associated with procurement, such as appointments, dunning, invoices, complaints, etc.

  • Participating in meetings of assigned projects (project meetings, kick-offs, etc.)

  • Supporting strategic procurement initiatives

  • Following process specifications according to IMS

  • Preparing supplier contracts in cooperation with the BU

Qualifications:

  • Successfully completed basic commercial or technical training with further training (purchasing specialist and certified purchaser) or completed studies in business administration, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering (university of applied sciences or comparable)

  • Several years of professional experience in procurement with extensive market knowledge in the technical environment

  • Knowledge/experience in international procurement and contract management is an advantage

  • Very good MS Office and SAP knowledge, S4Hana is an advantage

  • Business fluent in German and English (spoken and written)

  • Quick comprehension and ability to structure complex issues

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage different stakeholders
