Apprentice Aircraft Engineers 

With more than 60 years of aviation experience and embodying the excellent service standards for which its namesake Knightsbridge store is renowned, Harrods Aviation is the leading London-based business aviation service provider and offers high quality FBO services at London Luton and Stansted airports.  

We are now seeking highly motivated and driven individuals, who are enthusiastic about a career in aviation engineering, and wish to join our dynamic Apprenticeship scheme in October 2022. 

The Individual 

• Candidates should hold a minimum of four Standard Grades (Level 1 – 3) or GCSE (A–C/4-9) or equivalent including English, Maths and a Science   

• Candidates must hold a valid UK driving licence 

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team player 

• A passion for aviation and engineering is a must and any experience with mechanical or electrical equipment would be an advantage 

• Our apprentices enjoy working with technical equipment so previous experience with mechanical, electrical or electronic equipment that can be demonstrated would be an advantage 

• Individuals who are selected for interview, must pass the entrance aptitude tests. 

The Position 

• Initially, training will be completed at training centres based in Luton and Gloucestershire, and on-the-job training will follow at Harrods Operational bases at Stansted and Luton Airport, therefore the ability to travel is essential. 

• You will be required to undertake shift work, both throughout the Apprenticeship, and on completion of the course. 

• You will be supported throughout all phases of the programme, initially securing UKCAA Part-66 Category A3 modules on a fully approved course and further modular and practical training towards a Category B1.3 or B2 licence.  

• With qualifications gained and practical training your passion will be turned into practical experience in an exciting live environment where you will have the opportunity to learn and develop all of the key skills required to start your career in aircraft engineering.
