Apprentice Aircraft Engineer - Harrods Aviation

Harrods Aviation is the leading London-based business aviation service provider and offers high quality FBO services at London Luton in conjunction with providing first class Maintenance support for AOG, Line and Base inspections.

We are now seeking a highly motivated and driven individual, who is enthusiastic about a career in Business aviation engineering and wish to join our dynamic Apprenticeship scheme in September 2024.

The Individual

•Candidates should hold a minimum of four Standard Grades (Level 1 – 3) or GCSE (A–C/4-9) or equivalent including English, Maths and a Science

•Candidates must be able to commute daily to the training facility and Maintenance facility in Luton.

•Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team player.

•A passion for aviation, engineering or technology is a must.

•Our apprentice should enjoy working with technical equipment so previous experience with mechanical, electrical or electronic equipment that can be demonstrated would be beneficial.

•Individuals who are selected for interview, must pass the entrance aptitude tests.

The Position

•This is a fully approved, 2-year Level 3 Apprenticeship programme (Level 3 CAT A Certifying Mechanic Apprenticeship.

•Initially, training will be completed at a training centre based in Luton and at Gloucestershire for approximately 10 weeks towards the end of year 1. On-the-job training will follow at Harrods Maintenance base at Luton Airport.

•You may be required to undertake shift work, both throughout the apprenticeship, and on completion of the course.

•You will be supported throughout all phases of the programme, initially securing UK CAA Part-66 Category A modules on a fully approved course and with a view to further modular and practical training towards gaining a Category B2 and or B1 license. 

•With qualifications gained and practical training your passion will be turned into practical experience in an exciting live environment where you will have the opportunity to learn and develop all of the key skills required to start your career in aircraft engineering.
