Azure Database Engineer

We are currently looking for an Azure Database Engineer for one of our main clients in Madrid.

Requirements

• University degree in a related field.

• Relevant certifications in Azure and PowerBI are a plus.

• 2 years of related experience, designing, implementing, and managing Azure-based databases.

• Strong expertise in PowerBI.

• Knowledgeable in data modeling, database architecture, and performance tuning.

• Familiar with data integration and ETL processes.

• Proficient in SQL scripting and other relevant programming languages.

• Troubleshooting ability for any database issues.

• Adaptable to a flexible schedule if necessary.

• Fluency in English and Spanish.

• EU Passport / Right to work and live in Spain.

Tasks

• Design, implement, manage, and maintain Azure-based database solutions, ensuring security, and disaster recovery capabilities.

• Collaborate with development and business intelligence teams to provide effective database solutions.

• Optimize database performance through monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.

• Implement and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality and compliance.

• Liaise with stakeholders to understand their needs.

• Develop and maintain PowerBI reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.

• Provide Application and Systems Support.

• Support production in trouble-shooting performance and/or contention issues.

• Build and support ETL solutions.

• Collaborate on the creation of test cases, test scripts and execution of test scripts.
